OUTREACH AND WORK EXPERIENCE
CQC²T is dedicated to developing the next generation of scientists to join us in the race to build a scalable quantum computer. We offer a range of activities to help students find the best pathway to careers in science. We provide learning opportunities for students to develop their passion for maths and physics enabling them to make career choices in STEM.
Our Centre offers a variety of opportunities for high school students (Years 9-12) to discover quantum computing and quantum communication technologies. From open days to work experience programs, there are many ways to explore these exciting fields of research.

CQC²T Work Experience Program
20 November – 24 November 2023 (FULL)
CQC²T are taking expressions of Interest for 2024
The CQC²T Work Experience Program is a week-long opportunity for high school students who are high achievers in maths and physics. This experience is designed to introduce participants into a research-led workplace, providing an engaging experience and an introduction to what it’s really like to work at the cutting edge of research.
Our researchers will team up to provide students with informative sessions introducing quantum physics. Sessions include ‘Erbium in silicon’, ‘What noise does to qubits – mapping noise’, ‘Coding for quantum computing’ and more. Students spend much of their time in our labs, interacting with equipment and building a foundation for understanding what a career in STEM is really like.
Students will be asked to present their learnings at the end of the week. Spaces are limited, applicants will be asked to provide their CV and/or a letter of recommendation from their STEM teacher.
