
Prof. Tim C Ralph
QUANTUM COMMUNICATION THEORY PROGRAM MANAGER

Professor Ralph has extensive experience in quantum optics and optical implementations of quantum information techniques. His postdoctoral experience was at the Australian National University, the University of Auckland and the University of Queensland. He has performed consultancy work for Quintessence Labs, the Defence Science and Technology Group and Xanadu, Canada.
Tim leads the Quantum Communication Theory Program which seeks to develop new secure communication protocols and extend the range of quantum communication via repeater technology. He is also a member of the Centre Executive, particularly overseeing the Optical Quantum Computation program.
Tim has more than 350 publications that have attracted over 17,000 citations. He has co-authored a textbook that sold more than 2,100 copies, and has authored and co-authored five invited book chapters. His publications appear in high quality international journals including 38 in Physical Review Letters, 20 in the Nature suite of journals, as well as articles in Science and Reviews of Modern Physics.
