Quantum Technology Laboratory

The Photonic Quantum Computation program is carried out in The Quantum Technology (QT) Laboratory, a 200 m2 HEPA-filtered optics facility. The laboratory contains three separate bays with vibration-isolated optical tables, with one or more photon sources and quantum optic circuits.

These are driven by two high-power Ti:Sapphire lasers and compact ultra-violet diode lasers. A recent addition to the laboratory is an adiabatic demagnetization refrigerator housing superconducting transition edge sensors—near-unity efficiency, photonnumber resolving detectors. The QT Laboratory also conducts research in quantum simulation, communication, and metrology.
